What the Amazon links are, what I earn from them, and what I don’t.
Some of the links on After Hours Lounge go to books, films, music and other things on Amazon, and when you buy through one of them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That is the whole arrangement, and I’d rather say it plainly than bury it.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
How it works
When a post mentions something worth your evening, I sometimes link to it. If you click through and buy, Amazon pays me a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same either way. You don’t have to use my links, and nothing here is locked behind them.
How I choose what to link
I write about the thing first and add the link after. I only point to what I’d keep on my own shelf. A commission has never changed what I say about something, and if I didn’t like it, I’d say that too.
How you can tell
Posts with Amazon links end with a short note saying so, and the same statement sits in the footer of every page on the site. Newsletter emails carry excerpts only, without affiliate links.
What Amazon sees
When you click an Amazon link, Amazon knows you came from here, and it handles that under its own privacy notice. I don’t see who you are or what you bought. More on cookies and data is on the Privacy & Legal page.
If you have a question about any link, write to vesper@afterhourslounge.life.
